The Apostolic Shouts Mark an Apostolic Church and People

TEXT: (Numb. 23:21) “He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.”

The King Jesus is in the midst of his church and that makes all the difference in our lives and ministries.

What is a shout?
(Heb.) ter-oo-aw’ clamor, that is, acclamation of joy or a battle cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarum: – alarm, blow (-ing) (of, the) (trumpets), joy, jubile, loud noise, rejoicing, shout (-ing), (high, joyful) sound (-ing).
roo-ah’
A primitive root; to mar (especially by breaking); figuratively to split the ears (with sound), that is, shout (for alarm or joy): – blow an alarm, cry (alarm, aloud, out), destroy, make a joyful noise, smart, shout (for joy), sound an alarm, triumph.

The Shout of the King is among us!
Five types of Shouts
1. The Shout that stops a curse, Numb. 23: 21

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

2. The Shout when the blessings are tightly shut up, Josh. 6: 1-5, 20

(Jos 6:5) And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

(Jos 6:20) So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

3. The Shout to possess what belongs to you, 2 Sam. 6: 15

So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

4. The Shout when Giants attack, 1 Sam. 17: 20, 52

(1Sam. 17:20) And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.

(1Sam. 17:52) And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
5. Our Lord’s Shout, 1 Thess. 4: 16

(1Thess. 4:16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
