It’s important to note that when some hear teachings on giving, they may react with criticism without considering the whole counsel of God. The Word of God is clear about the principle of giving and how we, as believers, should support those who teach and minister to us.
In Galatians 6:6 (AMP), it is written:
“The one who is taught the word [of God] is to share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his spiritual and material support].”
This is not just about material blessings, but also about honoring those who feed us spiritually. It’s a principle of mutual support, and it’s part of the whole counsel of God that leads to a well-balanced life in Christ.
While it’s true that everyone has an opinion, as we continue in ministry and live our lives in Christ, we will know one another by the fruits of our lives and ministry. True discipleship goes beyond words; it is evident in how we live and how we follow God’s instructions in all areas of our lives, including our finances.
