This morning, we had the privilege of hosting our First Pastors & Church Ministers Empowerment Seminar for 2025 at The Apostolic House. It was a powerful time of impartation, teaching, and renewal as we gathered to be empowered for the work of the ministry.
During the seminar, we delved deeply into several key insights that will guide us in our walk with Christ as leaders. One of the central themes of the session was drawn from 1 Timothy 6:11:
“But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.”
As pastors and ministers, we were reminded that our calling is not only to pursue godly virtues but also to recognize and avoid the pitfalls that can hinder our walk with Christ. We were encouraged to stay focused and flee from distractions that can take us off course.
We discussed how our hearts should be set on seeking God above all — His presence, His righteousness, and His will. In line with this, 1 Timothy 6:11 challenged us to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness in our personal lives and ministries.
A major point of reflection was that our identity is in Christ alone, not in denominations or labels. The seminar emphasized that it’s time for the Body of Christ to rise and unite, as Christ is coming back for one Church, not one divided by man-made boundaries.
We also reflected on the truth that ministry is about fruit, not fame. It’s about pursuing God’s agenda and walking in unity as one Body in Christ. The challenge for us was to stay Kingdom-focused, fleeing distractions that would pull us away from our true calling.
